Revegetation plans set clear methods to restore native vegetation and meet approval conditions across the South West of WA. SW Environmental designs plans that are realistic, compliant, and easy for crews to implement so your site recovers on time and to specification.
You receive a tailored plan with objectives, species lists, seed or tube stock specifications, soil preparation, weed control, planting densities, and maintenance schedules. We include monitoring methods, success criteria, and contingency triggers so outcomes are measurable and auditable. Deliverables feature GIS mapping, photo points, and practical field sheets your contractors can use. Services such as flora baseline surveys, dieback and weed management, and regulator liaison can be added, while contaminated sites and water testing sit outside this service.
This service suits linear infrastructure, renewable energy, telecommunications, and land development where offsets or rehabilitation are conditions of approval. It is ideal when clearing has occurred and you need a documented pathway to restore values and demonstrate progress. Smaller subdivisions and single lots also benefit when councils require a simple plan that is achievable and affordable. It is not designed for large scale forestry or agricultural production planting.
We know that trust is earned, not given. The best way to understand our commitment to quality is to hear directly from the people we have helped. Here’s what they have to say about working with us.
SW Environmental are a go-to team for environmental and ecological works – always a professional, reliable and pleasure to work with.
The team at SW Environmental has consistently provided expert guidance and reliable support for our environmental approvals making the process smooth and stress-free.
SW Environmental assisted us over the years with land developments. The team are very knowledgeable, approachable, and outcome-driven as well as being well priced. They deliver quality services and we look forward to working with them in the future.
We have worked with Shane and his team at SW Environmental on projects big and small for well over a decade. They have always provided professional advice and service on even the most sensitive and difficult of sites and situations. I couldn't recommend them more highly.
Shane and the SW Environmental team have a solid understanding of ecology in the South West Region and provide invaluable services on Black Cockatoo and Western Ringtail Possum, from baseline surveys to environmental impact assessment to fauna pre-clearance and relocation.
Waiting on a plan risks missing planting seasons and failing performance criteria. Early planning locks in seed provenance, contractor availability, and nursery lead times so the work can proceed at the right time. A clear plan reduces guesswork in the field, prevents cost blowouts, and gives regulators confidence that recovery targets will be met. Acting now protects budgets, approvals, and reputation.
Our specialists bring the insight, clarity, and reliability needed to deliver efficient, compliant, and stress-free project outcomes.
Senior consultants lead each project from start to finish. Each project is carefully overseen by a Certified Environmental Practitioner (CEnvP) accredited with EIANZ.
We offer the expertise of a major firm, but with lower costs, and a level of personal engagement big corporates simply can’t match.
Local recognised expertise with over 100 years’ experience in the region within their respective fields.
Southwest WA is a biodiversity hotspot which creates unique challenges for projects. We are recognised regional experts surveying and managing black
cockatoos and Western Ringtail
Possums.
We are centrally located in the
southwest region and can mobilise teams quickly at a lower cost. Our authorised fauna spotting team have a specific license for urgent works no hold ups.
Our competitive pricing reflects our experience not quality. You get big-firm confidence without the big-firm price tag.
Pricing reflects area, site condition, species diversity, monitoring intensity, and any offset calculations required. We start with a short discovery call, then issue a written proposal with scope, milestones, and inclusions. Fixed fee options are available for defined packages, with day rates for complex iterations or extended monitoring. You will always know what is included so there are no surprises.
Call us for free preliminary advice on your likely approval pathways, timelines and costs.
After your enquiry we confirm conditions and site constraints, then prepare a draft plan with species mixes and implementation methods. On approval, we finalise maps, photo points, and field sheets, and coordinate with your contractors or nursery. During delivery we provide check in updates and adjust methods if weather or site realities change. You receive a close out pack with as built records and a monitoring schedule for the next season.
Planting windows typically align with cooler months and reliable rainfall. Planning ahead secures stock and ensures your rehabilitation plan WA can be delivered when survival rates are highest.
Success criteria often include survival percentages, percent cover, species richness, and weed thresholds. We set measurable targets and monitoring methods so environmental offsets and planting outcomes can be verified.
Yes. We specify provenance zones and work with nurseries or seed suppliers to ensure genetic suitability. This supports habitat restoration WA goals and improves long term resilience.
Monitoring commonly runs for one to three years depending on conditions and approval requirements. Your plan will specify timing, methods, and photo point records so progress is easy to demonstrate.
We include staged weed control strategies before and after planting, with safe methods and timing. Clear controls reduce competition and increase the success of native vegetation restoration.
Yes. We develop an offset management plan that details calculations, actions, and reporting aligned with approval conditions. This ensures compliance and simplifies annual reporting.
We believe in a straightforward approach to every project. No jargon, no fluff, just practical, expert solutions designed to get you from point A to point B as efficiently as possible.

Main Roads (South West Region) has engaged Shane Priddle of SW environmental on several occasions over the past four years to undertake environmental assessments and fauna surveys as well as arrange for additional surveys by other consultants to supplement the assessment reports.
We have found that Shane communicates well, making appropriate inquiries to clarify issues, is helpfully suggestive and is responsive to feedback. He has shown that he is able to manage multiple projects to meet completion deadlines with quality reports for complex projects.
Shane has been engaged by NGH Environmental for a number of projects which I have managed. Shane has completed GIS mapping work and environmental impact assessment tasks. Shane has been an asset to the team due to his expertise in mapping combined with his impact assessment knowledge. I have found Shane’s work to be of a high quality and he has always been able to meet project deadlines. A couple of projects which Shane was involved in were complex, particularly the mapping due to numerous design changes and Shane’s background in ecology was invaluable. I would have no hesitation in recommending Shane to other clients.
Our group has found SW Environmental to be very professional. Shane has been very helpful in assisting us, and we have found his reports to be to be very thorough, delivered in a timely manner, and very good value for money. I am happy to recommend him for such projects.
On a project of this scale land access is one of the major hurdles for completing in a timely manner. Shane Priddle was in constant contact with Western Powers field officers discussing land access and the field officers were able to help sufficiently. What ensued was the timely delivery of a flora and fauna survey over a 300km long alignment.
The reports for the survey were of a high quality, specifically the maps that were produced were great and the GIS data was provided to Western Power is exactly what we were after.”
We were very pleased with the friendly, professional, honesty and cost effective services and will certainly engage SW Environmental for future services.
