We scope the assessment pathway, coordinate baseline studies, and produce an environmental assessment report aligned with WA and Commonwealth guidance. Deliverables can include impact significance evaluation, mitigation and monitoring measures, and clear commitments for construction and operations. We handle agency liaison, public comment responses, and document revisions through to final submission. Adjacent services such as flora and fauna surveys, management plans, offsets, and GIS mapping can be added, while contaminated sites and acoustics sit outside this service.
This service suits linear infrastructure, renewable energy, telecommunications, and land development where a documented environmental review is needed before approvals. It is ideal when stakeholders require a transparent record of risks, alternatives, and mitigation. Smaller subdivisions and single lot proposals also benefit when a concise study can resolve issues early. It is not intended for stand alone water or waste assessments.
We know that trust is earned, not given. The best way to understand our commitment to quality is to hear directly from the people we have helped. Here’s what they have to say about working with us.
SW Environmental are a go-to team for environmental and ecological works – always a professional, reliable and pleasure to work with.
The team at SW Environmental has consistently provided expert guidance and reliable support for our environmental approvals making the process smooth and stress-free.
SW Environmental assisted us over the years with land developments. The team are very knowledgeable, approachable, and outcome-driven as well as being well priced. They deliver quality services and we look forward to working with them in the future.
We have worked with Shane and his team at SW Environmental on projects big and small for well over a decade. They have always provided professional advice and service on even the most sensitive and difficult of sites and situations. I couldn't recommend them more highly.
Shane and the SW Environmental team have a solid understanding of ecology in the South West Region and provide invaluable services on Black Cockatoo and Western Ringtail Possum, from baseline surveys to environmental impact assessment to fauna pre-clearance and relocation.
Delaying your EIA can cause redesigns, additional studies, and missed tender dates. Early assessment defines constraints, demonstrates due diligence, and builds regulator confidence before commitments are made. When the window for public comment or seasonal surveys approaches, acting now prevents bottlenecks and keeps the approval process moving.
Our specialists bring the insight, clarity, and reliability needed to deliver efficient, compliant, and stress-free project outcomes.
Senior consultants lead each project from start to finish. Each project is carefully overseen by a Certified Environmental Practitioner (CEnvP) accredited with EIANZ.
We offer the expertise of a major firm, but with lower costs, and a level of personal engagement big corporates simply can’t match.
Local recognised expertise with over 100 years’ experience in the region within their respective fields.
Southwest WA is a biodiversity hotspot which creates unique challenges for projects. We are recognised regional experts surveying and managing black
cockatoos and Western Ringtail
Possums.
We are centrally located in the
southwest region and can mobilise teams quickly at a lower cost. Our authorised fauna spotting team have a specific license for urgent works no hold ups.
Our competitive pricing reflects our experience not quality. You get big-firm confidence without the big-firm price tag.
Pricing reflects project scale, receptor sensitivity, study needs, and agency engagement. We begin with a short discovery call, then issue a written proposal that explains scope, methods, milestones, and inclusions. Options may include staged delivery or fixed fees for defined tasks. You will always know what is covered and there are no surprises.
Call us for free preliminary advice on your likely approval pathways, timelines and costs.
After your enquiry we confirm objectives, sites, and timelines, then map the assessment pathway and information gaps. Our team coordinates studies, drafts the environmental assessment reporting, and manages review cycles with your engineers and planners. We prepare a submission bundle that is easy for decision makers to assess and we remain available for questions through determination.
Not all projects require a full EIA. Our eia consultant South West WA team assesses your risk profile and recommends the right level of environmental review WA so you meet obligations without over scoping.
We need a clear description of the proposal, site mapping, and any previous studies. If gaps exist we schedule targeted surveys and stakeholder checks so the impact study WA is complete and defensible.
Timeframes depend on study needs and agency processes. We set milestones for scoping, surveys, drafting, and review so environmental assessment reporting aligns with your program and procurement dates.
Yes. We manage clarification requests and prepare a concise response table. This keeps the record transparent and helps decision makers close out issues quickly.
We provide a written proposal with inclusions, assumptions, and optional items. As your regulatory approvals consultant we monitor scope and flag changes early so budgets remain stable.
We brief your team on conditions, translate commitments into practical actions, and prepare or update management plans as needed. Ongoing support ensures compliance through construction and operations.
We believe in a straightforward approach to every project. No jargon, no fluff, just practical, expert solutions designed to get you from point A to point B as efficiently as possible.

Main Roads (South West Region) has engaged Shane Priddle of SW environmental on several occasions over the past four years to undertake environmental assessments and fauna surveys as well as arrange for additional surveys by other consultants to supplement the assessment reports.
We have found that Shane communicates well, making appropriate inquiries to clarify issues, is helpfully suggestive and is responsive to feedback. He has shown that he is able to manage multiple projects to meet completion deadlines with quality reports for complex projects.
Shane has been engaged by NGH Environmental for a number of projects which I have managed. Shane has completed GIS mapping work and environmental impact assessment tasks. Shane has been an asset to the team due to his expertise in mapping combined with his impact assessment knowledge. I have found Shane’s work to be of a high quality and he has always been able to meet project deadlines. A couple of projects which Shane was involved in were complex, particularly the mapping due to numerous design changes and Shane’s background in ecology was invaluable. I would have no hesitation in recommending Shane to other clients.
Our group has found SW Environmental to be very professional. Shane has been very helpful in assisting us, and we have found his reports to be to be very thorough, delivered in a timely manner, and very good value for money. I am happy to recommend him for such projects.
On a project of this scale land access is one of the major hurdles for completing in a timely manner. Shane Priddle was in constant contact with Western Powers field officers discussing land access and the field officers were able to help sufficiently. What ensued was the timely delivery of a flora and fauna survey over a 300km long alignment.
The reports for the survey were of a high quality, specifically the maps that were produced were great and the GIS data was provided to Western Power is exactly what we were after.”
We were very pleased with the friendly, professional, honesty and cost effective services and will certainly engage SW Environmental for future services.
